I purposed during this run to just run.
No looking at the watch.
No pace alarms.
Just run and go however fast my body wanted to go.
I am very pleased that I naturally did negative mile splits. I'm also happy that I settled into a 10:00 min/mile pace after the first mile, and I felt very comfortable at that pace.
I was going to see how fast I could do 5 miles in my run on Monday, but I ended up going to Santa Rosa with my dad to take his wookie to a vet surgeon specialist dude. Poor Lilly broke her upper right leg on Saturday and the local yokels couldn't patch her up.
