Fartleks, yeah we got them too...


The highly anticipated return of fartleks is here! Miles 3 and 4 consisted of:
1. Run all out for 30 seconds (top speed achieved: 10.6 mph)
2. Walk and pant for 1 min (panting optional, but always taken)
3. Jog and pant for 1 min (not so much panting, but still there)
4. Repeat 9 more times.

My last 30 seconds covered the last little bit of mile 4, so I did the walk recovery and then jogged the rest of the way home. I have a easy 5 miler tomorrow because I have a 5 mile RACE on Saturday! Of course, since this is my very first 5 mile race, you know it's gonna be a PR!!!
